don’t stop!

I’ve spent my going-on-six-years here working on transparency in processes and communications, specifically relating to how our collection development librarians and faculty users interact.  For the most part, my efforts have succeeded.  But everyone needs a reminder not to rest on past successes for too long, right?  Mine came today in the form of an email in which a faculty member indicates that he does not understand the main tenet of our collection development policy, and a phone call from another faculty member who thought our process for requesting books was far more complicated than it actually is.

So I have more work to do.  And I’ll do it, with cheerful determination, tackling one misinformed user at a time… because you’re never done communicating.  Ever.
