wet hair forever

Why do I always have my best work-related a-ha moments in the shower? It’s never convenient.  I can’t write it down, or record it, or do anything about it, and I’m almost always an hour away from the office.  And yet.  Without fail.  Some of my greatest moments of clarity about the things I need to work through and fix and manage come in the shower.

Given the number of problems I’m expected to solve, I suspect I’m going to have wet hair forever.

  1. My best ideas seem to come to me in those moments right before I drift off to sleep at night. So I can either choose to fall asleep and probably forget large parts of the idea, or I can choose to drag myself out of bed and get stuff written down. Why is inspiration inconvenient so much of the time?
